The article presents data on the current state, dynamics and trends in the development of sheep breeding, in the production of meat and wool in the world, Russia and CIS countries.

The article describes the population-genetic structure and degree of genetic differentiation of the Soviet wool, Tajik wool, Orenburg downy, Alpine and Zaanen dairy breeds of goats, using the microsatellites analysis.

The article presents the results of immunogenetic analysis of blood groups of goats Altai white down breed and Chui type of Mountain-Altai down breed. Both significant variability and weak variability of individual alleles in the compared samples are shown. The index of genetic similarity between breeds is at the level of 0.5663, while between herds of one breed - 0.7259-0.8061, and herds of different breeds ranges from 0.5252 to 0.5688.

The article presents the results of selection by individual characteristics and their complex, taking into account the coefficient of heritability and selection differential to increase the productivity potential of sheep of the southern meat breed.

The proposed algorithms for the estimation of breeding value and complex assessment of sheep masochisthalo productivity, based on the determination of the deviation of each symptom assessed individuals from srednepozdnie constants. Selection of animals on the basis of determination of indexes of breeding value on own productivity allows to estimate more objectively their quality and to differentiate on purpose that in the subsequent increases efficiency of selection.

The materials characterizing reproductive abilities of crossbreeds ofthe Igenerationfrom direct and reciprocal crosses ofthe multiple Romanov breed with semi-fine-wool sheep ofthe southern meat breed in order to increase the production of lamb are presented.

The article presents the results of the study of the main productive and biological indicators of sheep Romanov breed, characterizing the direction of breeding in different genealogical groups.

Shows the results of fattening and slaughter rams Kuibyshev breed and hybrids from crosses Kuibyshev ewes with rams SMS and % (CD x SF). The best results were obtained on rams from crossing with rams % (VG x SF).

The article presents the results of the study of the chemical composition, biological value of the longest back muscles of young sheep qigai breed depending on gender and age. It is established that meat of young animals of all groups differed in the increased food and biological value.

The article provides information about the basic physical, chemical and technological parameters of milk and cheese-cheese obtained from sheep ofthe East Frisian breed when breeding them in Central Russia. The data on the fat content and milk density using different methods of analysis and with the selection of milk at different times of the day are presented.

The article deals with the chemical composition ofmeat of rams of Volgograd breed and its hybrids 1/8 blood on the North Caucasian breed, grown in the conditions of the Volgograd Volga region.

A comparative assessment ofmutton and saiga meat is given. The data obtained confirm the absence of pronounced differences in organoleptic, chemical, physico-chemical and microbiological parameters in the raw meat of animals of these species.

The article presents data on the meat productivity of purebred sheep of Volgograd fine-wool breed and its hybrids with the breed of Russian meat Merino: pre-slaughter and slaughter weight, slaughter yield, morphological composition of carcasses, meat ratio, some interior indicators. The advantage of crossbred rams over purebred peers on slaughter indicators is established.

The article presents data on the dynamics of the live weight of lambs sur and black colors of different types in the suckling period from birth to 4 months of age.

In the article considered a condition the voluntary wool certification and a possible tendentious her perfections: improving the appropriations of certification organs and testing laboratories of wool in single economic structures; necessity changes of terminology the wool Russian classifier products and the field of accreditation a legal entity in accordance with her terminology in GOST R: chance of accreditation national wool laboratories in international systems; methodology of selection a wool samples, their test and scheme of certification: necessity of participation the organs certification and test laboratories of wool in create Rosstadart National certification system.

The determination of the chemical composition of sheep wool fibers and the assessment of the surface quality offibers by electron microscopy were carried out. The wool fiber of the Grozny ewe breed varies in surface quality along its length and cut from various parts (neck, back, side and thigh). The flakes along the fiber length are evenly distributed, their size in the transverse part from the side is 17 ± 1 mm, the longitudinal length (8-10) ± 1 mm. Forfiber from a slice of the neck, the size of the scale in the transverse part of the neck is (17-20) ± 1 /m, the longitudinal length (6-7) ± 1 mm. The fiber from the slice of the neck is thinner with small scales compared to the fiber from the side, which confirms its high quality. Qualitative differences are manifested in different elemental composition of fibers, as for metals: Na, K, Ca, Mg, Al, Fe, and nonmetals: C, O, S, Si, Cl.

The article presents the results of the study of probiotic feed additive (PKD) “Amilocin” on dairy productivity of sheep. Studies have shown that the PKD “Amilocin”positively affects the yield and quality of sheep milk.

Some data on the composition and nutrition of forage crops depending on the climatic conditions of Zhambyl region of Southern Kazakhstan are presented.

The article considers the clinical and hematological parameters of sheep bright edilbaevskoy, Hissar and Kazakh fat-tailed coarse-wooled breeds imported from different ecological zones in the semi-arid zone of the South-Eastern region of Kazakhstan. Studies have found that the complex of clinical and hematological indicators imported bright broad tail breeds were characterized by good adaptability to the conditions of the semi-desert zone of the South-Eastern region of Kazakhstan.
