Abstract
The article presents the results of genotyping of sheep of the Tatarstan meat-wool breed. For the first time, the polymorphism of the GH, CAST, GDF9 genes of sheep, queens, and repair young animals of this breed was studied and analyzed. The specificity of the allelic spectrum of genes that control meat productivity, expressed in different frequencies of occurrence of both alleles and genotypes, is established. Animal carriers of selection-significant alleles were identified at the loci of the studied genes. Based on the genetic and statistical analysis, it was concluded that the proportion of especially valuable genotypes in the studied population of sheep of the Tatarstan breed is relatively low. Regular screening to identify the desired genotypes and their widespread inclusion in the breeding process will create conditions for the accumulation of selection-significant genetic markers in the breeding herds of sheep of the Tatarstan breed bred in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Abstract
Some problems of sheep breeding are described. A phenomenological approach for predicting the lifetime usefulness of sheep for selection by a set of characteristics is justified. An effective system for organizing and using software for breeding in sheep farming is proposed.

Abstract
There are 768 thousand dairy goats in Russia. Dairy goat breeding is represented by 4 breeds: Zaanensky, Alpine, Nubian, Mursiano-Granadina. The number of breeding animals is 12.3 thousand. The main factors hindering the development of dairy goat breeding are: the weak domestic base of breeding animals of the dairy direction of productivity and the shortage of goats for creating new farms in agricultural organizations; the lack of evaluation standards and forms of breeding accounting until recently; negative consequences of the adoption of veterinary regionalization rules that prevent the spread of breeding animals and genetic material throughout the country. The development of the breeding base in dairy goat farming will take place gradually due to the transformation of large and medium-sized farms into breeding organizations.

Abstract
The article shows the slaughter rates of 4.5 months. rams obtained from semi-fine Akzhaik meat-wool sheep with manufacturers Akzhaik, North and Kuibyshev rocks. In General, the carcasses of all rams were well formed and characterized the sheep of the meat-wool direction of productivity; the best indicators of slaughter had descendants from producers of the Kuibyshev breed.

Abstract
In 2019, a new breed of sheep was tested artlukh Merino-meat-wool direction of productivity. Fineness of wool sheep breed artlukh Merinos different age groups within 21,0-23,0 fim (64 quality). The basic sheep of the Dagestan mountain breed have a thin cross-breed wool and corresponds to a low value-24-26 microns (60-58 quality). The natural length of the wool of sheep artlukh Merino from 9.35 to 10.35 cm, which is 15.1-24.3% higher than peers of different age and sex groups of the dagestan rock.

Abstract
The problems of selection in Russian sheep breeding related to the shortcomings in creating new breeding achievements are briefly described. It is proposed: to include data on the evaluation of producers by offspring in the application for new breeding achievements; to make it mandatory to present in the application in the form of a machine -readable document (a spreadsheet or an automated database) primary materials for individual accounting of all sheep of the new breeding achievement. Independent checks of the availability and quality of sheep identification in the field are proposed for acceptance of the application.
