Reproductive crossing with using hybrids to create new breeding forms in meat sheep breeding

Abstract

The results of the study of the exterior features of complex hybrids and their purebred peers are presented. Purebred katadins surpass their Romanov counterparts in live weight at 6 days of age by 1.49 kg (37.7%), at 42 days of age by 3.28 kg (35.6%), complex hybrids in argali by 1.32 kg (32%) and 3.16 kg (33.9%) (p < 0.05), respectively.
